Who is the Lord of Israel?

Jesus not only stands among his disciples and the crowds; he also somehow stands above and beyond history.

Words matter

Our human dignity is founded upon the Word of God that lives in us by the power of the Holy Spirit. And that Word is dynamic and living, never static or flat.

Abiding in the light

Are you at peace with yourself? How often we can fool ourselves, through benevolent busyness, but when we stop to listen beyond our reason, beyond our feelings, what do we hear? If it is peace, we are abiding in Christ.

Easter is bonkers

God despises bores. Easter reminds us of this. Put the redemption of the world into our hands, and we’d come up with something unimaginative, uninspiring, and probably much too believable.

The meditation of Simeon

Because of His visitation, we may no longer desire God as if He were lacking: our redemption is no longer a question of pursuit but of surrender to Him who is always and everywhere present.
