Joseph (Joe) Mangina is professor of theology at Wycliffe College, Toronto, where has taught since 1998. A native of Westfield, New Jersey, he earned both his M.Div and Ph.D degrees at Yale.
Joe’s father was a Roman Catholic, and his mother a United Methodist. He began a long-term flirtation with Anglicanism while he was a student in college. He finally sealed the deal when he met his future wife Elisa. a new Christian and new Anglican, at a church Bible study. They have a daughter, Frances, and a son, Nicholas.
Joe has published two books on the thought of Karl Barth, although his more recent work has focused on ecclesiology and the theological interpretation of Scripture. He is the author of Revelation in the Brazos Commentary Series.
