The Rev. Dr. David Goodhew is vicar of St Barnabas Church, Middlesbrough, England. He is also visiting fellow of St Johns College, Durham. Prior to this, he was director of ministerial practice at Cranmer Hall, an Anglican theological college which is part of St. John’s College, Durham University.
He has edited The Desecularisation of the City: London’s Churches, 1980 to the Present (Routledge, 2018), Growth and Decline in the Anglican Communion, 1980 to the Present (Routledge, 2017), Towards a Theology of Church Growth (Ashgate, 2015). and Church Growth in Britain, 1980 to the Present Day (Ashgate, 2012).
With Michael Volland and Andrew Roberts, he wrote Fresh! An Introduction to Fresh Expressions of Church and Pioneer Ministry (WJK, 2012).
Before moving to Durham, he was vicar of two parishes in York, and chaplain and fellow of St. Catharine’s College, Cambridge. He is married to Lindsey and has two sons, Aidan and Benjamin.
