Caleb Congrove graduated from Oberlin College in 1996. His theological interests found their basic shape and orientation at Yale Divinity School, where he studied the Christian tradition and was introduced to ecumenism.
In 2000 he graduated from Yale and began doctoral studies in the theology department of the University of Notre Dame, where he studied patristic and medieval theology. He eventually withdrew from the program. He now lives in Ohio with his wife and three children, and teaches Spanish at a public high school. He belongs to a small Byzantine Catholic parish in a very small town.
