Feigning faith

Herod the King,

“racially Arab,

religiously Jewish,

culturally Greek,

politically Roman.”

Baffled, bewildered,

by naĆÆve strangers,

Shocked and scared,

by sacred page.

Secretly, exactly,

gathers facts,

feigns faith,

requests report:

Diligent intelligence.
